| In due course the APT hopes to offer voluntary certification for tour guides. The guidebook we are currently developing would serve as the basis of a basic, or introductory, certification. Eventually, we hope to offer a "master's level" certification, and possibly even specialized area certifications. All of these voluntary certifications would be offered to give tour guides a means of demonstrating their expertise to the general public and of distinguishing themselves to potential clients. |
