Meetings for the APT are held the third Thursday of each month, at 7 PM in the Pickwick Room (upstairs) of the Dark Horse Pub at Head House Square.
Monthly meetings usually include not only organizational business, but also a presentation on Philadelphia history by one of the membership or by a special guest. Past presentations have included author and historian Carol Smith on colonial fire insurance and the Philadelphia Contributionship, Del Conner on the Powel and Physick houses, and Ed Mauger on "how the Founding Fathers spent their Christmas vacations." Meeting in the convivial tavern atmosphere of a converted 1788 rowhouse, members enjoy a lively intellectual exchange with their fellow guides and Philadelphia enthusiasts.
The annual organization meeting, for approval of by-laws, amendments and the election of officers and executive committee members will normally take place in January, weather permitting.
